Burns, 25, was signed to compete for the Bears' starting spot at cornerback opposite of Kyle Fuller. He worked with the first-team defense Monday during the Bears' first full-contact practice.

Without Burns, the Bears' competition for the No. 2 cornerback spot will be between Buster Skrine, Kevin Toliver and rookie Jaylon Johnson.
