Report: Bears CB Artie Burns Suffers Torn ACL
Burns, 25, was signed by the Bears on a one-year deal this past offseason.
LAKE FOREST, Ill. (670 The Score) -- Bears cornerback Artie Burns has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee, ESPN reported Tuesday.
Burns was hurt midway through the Bears' second full-contact practice of training camp at Halas Hall. Coach Matt Nagy confirmed the injury to Burns' left knee but didn't have details on the extent of it.
Listen Live Now on 670 The ScoreBurns, 25, was signed to compete for the Bears' starting spot at cornerback opposite of Kyle Fuller. He worked with the first-team defense Monday during the Bears' first full-contact practice.
Without Burns, the Bears' competition for the No. 2 cornerback spot will be between Buster Skrine, Kevin Toliver and rookie Jaylon Johnson.
